Vancouver Memories: An Imaged Novel by Wendy Bullen Stephenson
Vancouver Memories: My Year Abroad
An Imaged Novel by Wendy Bullen Stephenson
What happens when an independent international student, studying English in Vancouver for a year, becomes part of a tight-knit group of classmates and falls in love with a Canadian who is struggling to determine the direction of his life?
Written as a fictional diary, the novel recounts the life-altering experiences of Erika. Vancouver Memories: My Year Abroad is a human relationships novel, a coming of age tale, a travelogue, and a photographic reminder of why Vancouver is such an easy city to become attached to. The photographs of seasonal cultural events and the places that students routinely visit during their stay in Vancouver—from Victoria to Whistler—form a backdrop to the action of the story and provide additional insight into the life of international students in Canada.
My dear Wendy
Wow! Finally you did it and published your novel! I just found this site, since I was (once again…) in a melancholic mood and googled your name and visited the Seafield site…thinking back of the great time I spent with you at Seafield. I didn’t read the book so far because I’d actually prefer to hold it in my hands, but is it possible to order your novel as a book or is it just in this online version available?
Tell me, my dear Wendy, how are you?????? How is Christie? Is Gregor Robertson keep his promises? You can’t imagine how often I think of you, of Vancouver and I wished to walk along Pendrell Street, visiting you and know, how you are. Take care and have a wonderful Christmas time!
Big hug, Gabriela Hauser, Switzerland!
